Obsolete Reasons for Introduction
The School of Multimedia Systems is continuing the development of a comprehensive suite of programs in Multimedia at Berwick campus. This unit is one of the first in a series of units designed to provide a research Masters program in Multimedia at the campus. The Masters of Multimedia was a coursework degree established by the Faculty of Art and Design in 2000. It is being proposed that the Masters of Multimedia by research (administered by the Faculty of Information Technology) be created to round out the post-graduate Multimedia programs. This unit is part of that proposal.Multimedia Studio 5 will provide an avenue for students with the Bachelor of Multimedia (Honours) or approved equivalent to attain advanced research training, as well as the opportunity to develop their chosen area of interest and to foster and nurture a research profile in Multimedia, an area in which research training is presently lacking.
