MMS3805 Advanced Business Programming Using Visual Basic .Net [AdvVBProg ]

Reasons for Introduction

Obsolete Reasons for Introduction

At present Business Programming Fundamentals is a core unit of several Multimedia streams. Its purpose is to introduce an understanding of sound computer program design and construction practices, as well as providing a foundation for further programming subjects as well as developing small business applications. This is done using the Visual Basic programming language. Many students progress to learning other key application development strategies and technologies, such as Database Management Systems and Internet Programming, but do not necessarily have the ability to progress into issues with developing advanced business systems, nor to further progress their knowledge of Visual Basic. This proposal establishes Advanced Business Programming Using Visual Basic .Net as a 3rd year elective taught at the Berwick Campus that can allow those with Visual Basic or general Object Oriented understanding to build on their Visual Basic skills further for developing more advanced business systems.
