Strategies of Assessment (03 Jun 2004, 3:57pm)

The assessment in this unit will consist of three major tasks which will include group and individual components.

Assessment 1 Concept Outline for an Audio/Video Project, Process Diary and Research 30%

Group documentation outlining an audio/video project concept for the semester. 10%
Individual Process Diary including roles, tasks and hours undertaken by each student and a report detailing research on a specific technical issue or production process or aspect of theory related to the audio/video project. 20%

Assessment 2 Detailed Project Documentation and Diary 30%

Group documentation specifying in detail the nature of the project, including objectives, scripts, storyboards, technical issues, proof of concept tests, production schedule, timelines, etc. 20%
Individual process diary recording ongoing research into external sources and referencing of relevant material, and roles, tasks and hours undertaken by each student including research, documentation, scripting, storyboarding, equipment and software testing, etc. 10%

Assessment 3 Major Audio/Video Project, Presentation and Diary 40%

Development of a major multimedia audio/video project. 25%
A Group presentation to the class demonstrating the major audio/video project and discussing any changes to the initial concept. 5%
Individual process diary recording ongoing research into external sources and referencing of relevant material, and roles, tasks and hours undertaken including research, pre-production, production, capturing, post-production, media manipulation, etc. 10%

The final grade will be achieved by adding all the individual components.
