Reasons for Introduction

Obsolete Reasons for Introduction

This unit is an elective in the Master of Information Management and Systems. The unit brings together previous knowledge about modelling and introduces philosophical aspects of modelling. The unit introduce the students to other modelling approaches such as object orientation, event driven modelling and human activity modelling. Furthermore, the unit introduce students to practical applications of modelling in areas such as knowledge management, data warehousing and electronic business. Students should be able to choose between different modelling approaches and should be able to understand the consequences of the choice. Students should also be able to apply their knowledge to a case study.
