Obsolete Reasons for Introduction
This new unit is a core third year unit in the revised structure for the Bachelor of Information Systems, and will be introduced in 2006. It is designed to prepare graduates for the likelihood of professional careers in large scale corporations, government departments and instrumentalities where enterprise scale integrated software (ERP) packages are deployed to support the organisational processes. There are distinct differences between enterprise scale integrated packages as characteristically used in large organisations and bespoke information systems developments and non-integrated packages used in SMEs. This unit expands their knowledge into the enterprise scale of development.
