Obsolete Reasons for Introduction
This revised unit is a core unit in the Bachelor of Information Systems (Information Management). It is part of the librarianship stream of units required for ALIA recognition. The unit is consistent with the demands from the profession and the workplace for students able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles and practices applied by libraries and information services in organising information resources for effective storage and retrieval. This unit is taught in conjunction with IMS5017, but has a different assessment structure. It replaces LAR3651.
