Obsolete Reasons for Introduction
This new unit is a core third year unit in the revised structure for the Bachelor of Information Systems, and will be introduced in 2006. This unit explores how organizations create, share and deploy information and knowledge. The approach adopted in this unit is to match user needs with information architectures, the technology to meet those needs and the social and cultural contexts in which those needs arise. The unit focuses on Knowledge Management (KM), including organisational processes such as learning and the management of intellectual capital.
