GCO1810 Business Programming (DISESTABLISHED FB 05/07) (13 Dec 2007, 11:15am) []

Reasons for Introduction

Reasons for Change (06 Aug 2004, 09:31am)

FEC 4/04 Reasons for Change Added Semester 2 offering for IMS1906 at Caulfield to cater for significant cohort of failed students in Semester 1. Also semester 2 offering in Malaysia added.

FEC 3/04 Reasons for Change Update of recommended reading and unit adviser

FEC 4/03 Reasons for Change Consistent with the Faculty's goal to rationalise the number of units being offered, GCO1810 will be taught at the Caulfield campus under its alias title IMS1906 Business Software Fundamentals, as a core 1st year unit in the Bachelor of Information Systems, as well as at Gippsland and Malaysia.

FEC 2/03 Reasons for Change GSCIT has proposed the introduction of the Bachelor of Information Technology to commence in 2004. This degree has 3 majors: System Development, Internet Technology and Business Systems. The first two have object-oriented programming in Java as a core requirement, however students in the latter will take GCO1810 to introduce them to the fundamentals of business programming. The proposed change of name is intended to remove ambiguity about the nature of the content of the unit from the students' perspective.Because the program will be taught in both Gippsland and Malaysia campuses, the location of offering is to be updated as well.
