The World Wide Web is a phenomenon, which has entered the computing arena in recent years. The Web has opened up new challenges for computing professionals, with an increasing number of computer applications needing to be developed for a Web environment. A solid knowledge of the basics of web page development is, increasingly, required of computing professionals.Some students at master's level do not have a systematic understanding of the principles of good web page development. It has been found that some students taking cpe5011 Internet Applications Development, do not have a sufficient grasp of this area. These students need to be diverted into a 9000 level unit to master the skills and understanding of the priciples, before proceeding with the more advanced material.
This unit is a first level unit in Web applications development for post grad students with little or no prior web experience
