FIT4443 Honours Thesis Part 3 (09 Feb 2011, 12:33pm) [HONS THESIS 3 (09 Feb 2011, 1:37pm)]

Reasons for Introduction

Reasons for Introduction (11 Feb 2011, 10:37am)

FIT4443 is a unit introduced for administrative purposes to create flexible enrolment for the Honours Thesis which is a core unit of the Honours degrees in the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) for 2011. This unit will have an enrolled value of 6CP and 0CP achievable. Achievable credit points will be allocated in FIT4444/FIT4448.

Reasons for Change (24 Jul 2020, 4:32pm)

24/7/20: Reason for change added on behalf of CE. Assessment update for implementation S2, 2020. Interim Presentation (0%) does not meet Monash policy on hurdles. Tying the presentation into the Lit Review (15%). Discussed with DDE and ADLT.

19/06/2020: Assignment changes and inclusion of teaching (to reflect fact that Research Methods is a general module not focused on project students).

4/5/2020: As the MSA course 4307 Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences is in teach-out, the MSA offering of this unit has been re-coded to FZA4443 effective Semester 1, 2021. These units will be managed by South Africa and therefore no separate Monatar entries will be made

25/03/2020: Admin - updating the thesis component word limit and presentation information in assessment on behalf of the CE.

28/01/2020: Admin - change to synopsis updating the courses the unit is applicable to.

15/10/2018: Update to prerequisites to add correct eligible course codes and make these units available for enrolment via WES.

3/02/2015 - Updates to description and prerequisites (addition of BICAH), moved section of text from Assessment to Synopsis, wording edit to learning outcomes to make it clear that the outcomes relate to the thesis, not the individual units that make up the thesis.

27/01/2015 - Objectives changed to learning outcomes for AQF compliance and Semester 1, 2015 implementation.

This unit has been updated as part of a 2009 review and comparison of data with current Handbook, Syllabus + and Callista data.
