FIT3156 Advanced Visual Effects is a core unit in the redesigned Multimedia Development Major and Extended Major
Introduction for course architecture programs. Effective semester 1, 2016

This unit, when it runs in semester 2, 2018 will have 3 assignments and 3 tests, not 4 as previously stated.
Request that CE be listed as Mark Power. I am already listed as CE for this unit in the 2018 handbook and Unit Guide. (21/9/2018).
Request that FIT1033 be removed as a pre-requisite for this unit.
The unit has run for the first time in semester 2, 2018, After development of the content, it is only necessary that students have skills developed in FIT2091 to complete this unit. Skills developed in FIT1033 are not required for successful completion.

Advanced Visual Effects builds upon the skills learnt in Creative Computing Foundations, Creative Computing Studio 1 and Foundations of 3D, developing an understanding of the multimedia development process, tools and techniques as applied to advanced time based media manipulation in multimedia content production. It introduces students to a range of techniques by which video can be manipulated and enhanced after the original material has been recorded by combining it with 2D and 3D CGI elements.
At the completion of this unit, students should be able to:
