This unit teaches students about how operating businesses work. It aims to give them sufficient understanding of operations to be able to take part in the execution and planning of operations. For computing students its purpose is to assist in the overall design of information and management systems within an operating business.The offering of this unit also addresses the community and professional demand by equipping Monash graduates with required skills and knowledge in business operations. All these are in accordance with the themes of Innovation, Engagement and Internationalisation enunciated in the Monash Plan.
