BUS2176 Project management [Project Management]

Reasons for Introduction

Reasons for Introduction (03 May 2007, 11:14am)

This unit will be co-taught with FIT2002 until it is disestablished.

This unit deals not only with the techniques of managing projects, but also places project

management within a business context. It prepares students for the competitive environment in business where information technology projects have to compete with production, marketing, engineering etc. projects for the available funds. Therefore current methods of project evaluation and selection are a feature of the unit.

Reasons for Change (18 Jul 2007, 11:54am)

(July 2007) Adjusted assessment to match FIT2002

Amend contact hours to match FIT2002 (extend lab sessions to 2 hours).

CSE2203 returned to prohibitions list, following the decision that these units will be co-taught in future.

Add semester 1 Caulfield offering.

The School of Business Systems requests that CSE2203 be removed from the list of prohibitions for this unit. This prohibition has been removed after discussion with CSSE indicated that the unit content was complementary rather than overlapping.

The School of Business Systems requests that MMS2203 Project Management be added to the list of prohibitions for this unit.
